This has been a project I've been working on your some time now. I was lucky enough to get an antique straw braid machine that is over 100 years old! After some tinkering, I'm starting to get the hang of the old curmudgeon.
The straw on this hat is beautiful! Its got an open scalloped weave and is a poly/straw blend, so its not as susceptible to moisture and sweat.
This lacey beauty is adorned simply with a mossy green band ends in a burst of lavender flowers and foliage.
A soft wire in the brim still gives that "floppy sunhat" appeal, but allows a little more control. Perfect for the garden witch!
BIG BRIM! The brim is approx. 8" and 10" pointed peak.

Sizing details
We typically carry hats for heads sized between 21" up to 25" (in half in intervals). You can narrow your search by size, and see what we have available by selecting the corresponding tab in the "shop sections" of our Etsy page. If your head size falls outside of those measurements, not to worry! Consider having a special order made! We can make them any size you need!
Care instructions
All hats come with care instructions and tips in the box upon delivery!

*HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD*
Use a soft tape measure (like the kind found in a sewing kit) to measure around your forehead about an inch and a half (about two fingers width) above eyebrows at the front, just above the tops of your ears at the sides, and just above the base of your skull at the back, on me its about three fingers from where the neck joint meets my head. This is the measurement you want to stick closest to when selecting your hat. If you fall on a 1/4" or 3/4" mark, I recommend rounding down to the nearest half inch to allow for stretch.
*PLEASE NOTE: If you know that you have a sensitive head, round up to the nearest half inch when you measure, BUT NO MORE! anything more than 1/2" WILL FALL INTO YOUR EYES!
